About Us

What we do

We’re more than book suppliers. We specialize in curating top-notch reading materials in Spanish, French and English for schools across the country. Unlike other book suppliers, our work is informed by real teachers having spent real time in the classroom. Known for our high standards, and our expertise in creating tailored lists to fit the needs of any classroom, we stand out as a company doing something different in our field.

Our story

Rob Celic and Marie Bouteillon founded Hexagramm in 2008. Answering the call of bilingual educators for a larger selection of books for their classrooms, Hexagramm partners with 400+ publishers all over the world to bring classrooms the best books on the market.

What makes us unique

  • We work with over 400 publishers from multiple countries.
  • We tailor orders depending on the needs of your students, and supply rare and hard to find selections of books in Spanish, English and French.
  • Our standards are high, so the books we choose are the best on the market.
  • Every book we supply has been hand-picked by us, read by us and re-leveled to balance linguistic differences.
  • We aim to save teachers time, money and the hassle of ordering materials on their own. Our signature collections are designed to make building a classroom library easy and quick while keeping quality a high priority.

Rob Celic, Chief Executive Officer

Coming from a family of educators, Rob started Hexagramm Books with a teacher's perspective in mind.  Hexagramm Books started small, with one French immersion client, and eventually grew into a one-stop-shop for more than 350 dual language programs across the country. Rob studied Finance, Spanish and History at Indiana University, and in addition to his native English, he is proficient in Spanish and French.

Marie Bouteillon, Chief Innovation Officer

As a dual language immersion consultant, Marie Bouteillon works primarily in Georgia and New York City.  Marie taught for nine years as an ESL and a bilingual teacher.  She was the founder of the award-winning French dual language program at PS 58 The Carroll School in Brooklyn, New York.  In recognition of her work in New York City, Marie was personally awarded the title of Chevalier des palmes académiques, the highest award granted to educators by the French Ministry of Education. Fluent in French and proficient in Spanish and Mandarin, Marie has a unique linguistic expertise that allows her to work across languages.
